Tuesday, December 26, 2006 Time of Post: London- 7.20pm Singapore- 3.20am Yea... It's Christmas in London. Well, doesn't really have the christmas mood here. Well, not the area of my hotel. Today is officially the longest Christmas I have. 9 hrs in Singapore + 13.5 hrs in flight + 9.5 hrs in London = 32 hrs of Christmas! Singapore Airline Flight 308 took off from Changi Airport at 9am(Singapore Time)... Reach London 2.36pm(London Time)... Because its Christmas Day, all public transportation including the Tube(London's MRT) and buses, all shut down. So got a cab. Reach our hotel, Lord Jim Hotel (only 2 stars... sianz), at around 4pm... At around 4.30pm... London is dark already! and cold Cab ride to Hotel It's dark already! Our rooms are super small and kind of lousy. But still quite cosy. After check-in. We went to walk-walk. We wanted to see a Singapore restaurant called Bugis Street at Glouceister Road. So we asked for directions and headed there. It was about a 1.2 km walk. We were disappointed to find it close. Oh well, another day then. Then went to eat Fish & Chips for dinner except for Ah-Ma who ate Chicken Burger instead because she hates Cod Fish. After, went back to hotel. Tomorrow we gonna meet my bro, Benjamin, then see changing of guards at Buckingham Palace. Tired now, gonna sleep. Nitez... Chocolate Dreamz... zZz... Here are photos I took today!: http://bertramgoh.imeem.com/photo/fh4wmLs5/ Monday, December 25, 2006 Its 25 Dec 2006, The time of this post: Round 8am. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!! I'm now at the airport, waiting for my flight! Guess what, WE GOT FIRST CLASS SEATS!!! Yes 13 hours of first class to London... WAHAHA!!! However, there are no paying customers in the first class so.... we are left to eat raffles class food, still quite good lar. Had some info on our flight: Out of 300+ seats SIA have in that Jumbo B747. Only 25 seats were booked! All economic class Lolz!!! Big space sia... Hope can do daily blogging there! What a sad story :( The Christmas Shoe It was almost Christmas time, there I stood in another line Tryin' to buy that last gift or two, not really in the Christmas mood Standing right in front of me was a little boy waiting anxiously Pacing 'round like little boys do And in his hands he held a pair of shoes His clothes were worn and old, he was dirty from head to toe And when it came his time to pay I couldn't believe what I heard him say Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time You see she's been sick for quite a while And I know these shoes would make her smile And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight He counted pennies for what seemed like years Then the cashier said, "Son, there's not enough here" He searched his pockets frantically Then he turned and he looked at me He said Mama made Christmas good at our house Though most years she just did without Tell me Sir, what am I going to do, Somehow I've got to buy her these Christmas shoes So I laid the money down, I just had to help him out I'll never forget the look on his face when he said Mama's gonna look so great Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time You see she's been sick for quite a while And I know these shoes would make her smile And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight I knew I'd caught a glimpse of heaven's love As he thanked me and ran outI knew that God had sent that little boy To remind me just what Christmas is all about Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time You see she's been sick for quite a while And I know these shoes would make her smile And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight Saturday, December 16, 2006 Yoz.... Very tired liaoz... so gonna describe today's (or rather yesterday's) Band Tune-in in few short lines. Band tune-in was fun! But only 5 sec 4s came, of whom 3 are our DSA(Direct School Admission) students Haha, but later got 3 appeal students came and 2 of them sat down with us too for band tune-in. Dr Lee, our conductor, didn't come today, I think he thought pointless to come with so few came for tune-in, which I can agree with him. But we really had fun with the sec 4s, I hope they too, and think really bonded with them. And guess what, Louis didn't came <------ Wahaha!!! Finally, Sunday can get a chance to play the new DW drumset in the Promise. *Drooling* FYI, yeah... I'm going holiday this year. To London with Dad, Mom, and Grandma. Going there visit bro. My holiday from 25dec- 2Jan... Hope got internet connection there... Nitez ...zZz... Chocolate Dreamz Thursday, December 07, 2006 WHOA!!! YEA MAN.... Casting Crowns Concert was AWESOME!! Dang... Extracted from the newspaper: Casting Crowns, a Grammy- winning American gospel band which is here for the first time, will perform tunes like Life Song and Praise You In This Storm at this free concert. The group has sold more than two million records. Evangel Family Church, 577 Yishun Ring Road, The Promise, Level 2. Today & tomorrow: 7.30pm, Free, Visit www.konquerors.org Haha... Got their autographs too... Got the drummer, Andy Williams, to sign my drum sticks too Tuesday, December 05, 2006 Yea Man! Casting Crown was great last sunday. Played the songs Lifesong and Praise You In This Storm and also Who Am I during the altar call. Pastor Mark Hall preaching was good too. Loved the way he uses actions which he asked we'll to do to bring the word across. It's a good way to help us remember what he has preached. Can't wait for their concert this Thursday and Friday! |
